Find the signal before you increase the spend
A simple way to decide which growth question deserves attention before the next budget decision.

When a channel slows down, adding budget can feel like the quickest response. First, separate the symptoms from the cause. Is the problem reach, relevance, conversion or a handoff after the enquiry?
Ask one useful question
Start with a question a team can answer from the evidence it already has. “Where do qualified enquiries stop?” is more useful than “How do we get more traffic?” because it points to a decision.
Compare the journey, not just channels
Review where people arrive, what they view and whether the next action is obvious. Keep assumptions separate from observations.
A better budget decision starts with a clear account of where the current journey loses momentum.
Make the next test small
Change one part of the path and decide in advance what result would make you continue, adjust or stop. A short learning loop is more valuable than an elaborate plan nobody can revisit.
